The PR1 Pinger Receiver is a portable handheld acoustic receiver designed for locating and tracking acoustic pingers underwater
The PR1 has a bandwidth of 2kHz and a centre frequency that can be adjusted in 0.1kHz steps between 3kHz and 97kHz. The current frequency setting is displayed on a backlit LCD mounted on the faceplate. The received signal strength is indicated via an LED Bar Graph (Signal Strength Meter) and through an audio output that connects to a Diver Earpiece (included). The volume, frequency and sensitivity of the unit are controlled via knobs located on the faceplate. The unit also incorporates a magnetic compass. The unit also incorporates a magnetic compass.
Key Benefits
- Directional sensor allowing for increased precision when locating pingers or beacons
- Durable design ensuring long life in a marine environment
- Parameters such as volume, frequency and sensitivity can be manipulated subsea by the diver.
- This, along with the built in signal strength indicator, provide the diver with full operational control of the unit
- Powered by an internal rechargeable battery pack removing the need to transport spare batteries offshore
- Minimal set up required ensuring time is not lost setting up multiple parameters
